Security

Paddington Central is a secure, fob-access building. Residents and visitors are asked to follow these guidelines to help maintain the safety and privacy of our community.

Building Access

  • Entry to the building and apartments is controlled via security fobs, which also provide access to gates, lobbies, lifts, and the car park.
  • Do not allow unknown persons to tailgate through entrances or vehicle gates.
  • Ensure that all entry points fully close behind you when entering or exiting.
  • Lost or damaged fobs must be reported to the Building Manager ASAP to be deactivated. Replacement fobs can be issued upon request – charges apply.
  • Limits apply to fobs:
    • 1 bedroom apartments – 3 fobs
    • 2 bedrooms apartments – 4 fobs
    • 3 bedrooms apartments – 5 fobs

Garage Remotes

  • Residents are entitled to one remote control per allocated car space.
  • Garage remotes are individually programmed – please keep them secure and do not lend them to others.

Lockboxes

  • Residents and occupants are reminded that lockboxes, key safes or similar devices must not be attached to or placed on common property, including fences, railings, doors, pipes, gates or other shared building infrastructure.
  • Unauthorised lockboxes present a security risk to the building and may compromise resident safety and access control procedures.
  • Any lockboxes found on common property will be removed without notice. Residents may also be responsible for any costs associated with removal or damage caused to common property.

Visitors

  • Do not buzz in delivery drivers or unknown guests without confirming their identity.
  • For larger deliveries or moves, please follow the building’s formal move-in/out process.

CCTV

  • The building has CCTV coverage in common areas to deter unauthorised activity.
  • Access to CCTV footage is restricted to the Owners Corporation and Building Management for legitimate security or by-law breach purposes.

Mail & Deliveries

  • Mailboxes are not secure. Residents should check and empty their mailbox regularly.
  • Do not leave parcels in shared lobbies or entryways. Parcels should only be left in the designated parcel drop off in the car park entrance.
  • For added security, consider redirecting parcels to a secure collection point or locker service.

If You Notice Suspicious Activity

  • Contact the Building Manager if you observe any suspicious behaviour, unfamiliar persons, or issues with access.
  • For urgent situations or emergencies, contact 000.

Keeping Paddington Central safe is everyone’s responsibility – thank you for doing your part.
