Ambulance & Medical Emergencies

If you require urgent medical assistance, call Triple Zero (000) and request an ambulance.

When speaking with the emergency operator:

  • Provide the building address: Paddington Central, 13 Oatley Road, Paddington NSW 2021
  • Clearly state the nature of the medical emergency.
  • Advise if the patient has mobility, medical or access requirements.
  • Remain on the line until instructed otherwise.

Ambulance Access Arrangements

Paddington Central has arrangements in place to assist NSW Ambulance with accessing the building during emergencies.

Building Access

NSW Ambulance has been provided with a secure emergency access code for the main entrance of:

Paddington Central
13 Oatley Road
Paddington NSW 2021

This code allows emergency responders to access the building’s common property areas.

For security reasons:

  • The code is known only to NSW Ambulance, Building Management and Strata Management.
  • No resident, owner or member of the Strata Committee has access to this code.

Individual Apartment Access (Optional)

While NSW Ambulance can access the building’s common property, they cannot access individual apartments without assistance unless the resident has elected to participate in the building’s emergency access arrangement.

To facilitate emergency entry, the Owners Corporation maintains a dedicated emergency access fob that is securely stored within a lock box accessible by NSW Ambulance Services.

The emergency access fob:

  • Is managed exclusively by Building Management.
  • Does not count towards any resident’s personal fob allocation.
  • Can only access apartments that have elected to participate in the emergency access arrangement.

Registering for Emergency Apartment Access

Residents wishing to participate in the emergency access arrangement should:

  1. Advise NSW Ambulance that they consent to emergency access to their apartment under this arrangement.
  2. Contact Building Management and request that their apartment be added to the emergency access list.
  3. Await confirmation from Building Management that access has been activated.

Security and Privacy

To protect residents and maintain building security:

  • The emergency access fob is stored in a secure lock box.
  • The lock box is located under CCTV surveillance.
  • The fob is not labelled with apartment information.
  • Access to the lock box is restricted to NSW Ambulance, Building Management and Strata Management.
  • No resident, owner or member of the Strata Committee has access to the lock box or its code.

Participation in this arrangement is entirely voluntary. Residents should consider their personal circumstances and security preferences before opting in.
