Before moving in, residents should arrange for connection of essential utilities. Below is a summary of available services at Paddington Central.
Electricity
Each apartment is individually metered. Meters are located in the main switch rooms on level 1. Residents are responsible for arranging their own electricity account. Please contact a retailer of your choice to establish service.
Gas
Most apartments are connected to natural gas. Please contact a retailer of your choice to establish service.
🔹 Note: Hot water at Paddington Central is supplied via a metered bulk hot water system. Your gas bill will typically include charges for your hot water usage.
Both gas and hot water meters report wirelessly to a central system for remote reading by the provider. No apartment access is typically required for readings.
Water
Water usage is included in strata levies. However, you will still need to setup your Sydney Water account for fixed fees (water service, wastewater and stormwater drainage).
Television
All apartments are fitted with:
- Free-to-air TV antenna access
- Centralised Foxtel connections
No satellite dishes are permitted to be installed on balconies or common property.
Internet & Phone
Paddington Central is connected via NBN Fibre to the Basement (FTTB). Residents may select a provider of their choice to establish service.
In addition:
- 5G home internet is available from most major telcos.
- Paddington Central is awaiting TGP Fibre to the Basement (TPG FTTB) to be installed as an alternative to NBN. We expect this to occur in 2025.
- Wall sockets for NBN are typically located in the living area (depending on apartment layout).
Mail & Deliveries
- Mailboxes are located on Renny Lane.
- Residents should check their mail regularly – mailboxes are not secure.
- Do not leave parcels in shared lobbies or entryways. Parcels should only be left in the designated parcel drop off in the car park entrance.
- For added security, consider redirecting parcels to a secure collection point or locker service.
